Here are three methods for switching back and forth between your OS X partition and your Windows partition when you have Boot Camp installed on your system:
- How to Use OS X Boot Options to Troubleshoot Your Mac. There are times when your Mac may misbehave and refuse to boot into OS X. You may get a sad Mac face, an audible beep, or another ailment.
- Make sure you’re ready to upgrade. Before you upgrade, we recommend that you back up your Mac. Then, if your Mac is running OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later, you can upgrade directly to macOS Catalina.
From OS X Yosemite:
To restart your Mac in Windows, click System Preferences on the Dock and then click the Startup Disk icon.
Click the Windows partition you created in the list to select it. (The folder icon bears the Windows logo, and it’s labeled Windows as well.)
Click Restart, and then click Restart again when asked for confirmation.
Your Mac reboots and loads Windows, and it continues to run Windows when started or rebooted until you follow one of the next two methods of returning to OS X.
From Windows:
Right-click the Boot Camp icon in the notification area at the right side of your Windows taskbar — it looks like a slanted square — and choose Restart in Mac OS X from the menu that appears. Again, you’ll be asked to confirm your choice. After you click OK, your Mac reboots and returns to Yosemite.

You can reboot from either Yosemite or Windows and hold down the Option key when you see the Apple logo appear.
Your Mac displays a nifty row of icons, each representing a bootable OS that your Mac can use.
To boot OS X, click the Yosemite partition icon.
To choose Windows, click the Windows partition icon.
Note that when you turn on or reboot your Mac, it returns to the OS you last selected in the System Preferences Startup Disk pane.

Mac Os X 10.10 Boot Camps
You may want to try re-downloading .5621 to a USB2 flash drive, and install it using Boot Camp: Install or repair Boot Camp drivers or Boot Camp: Solve Windows support software installation problems . The latter link addresses devices, but the first link will repair all drivers and non-driver binaries. This must be done using Run as Administrator and W7 compatibility mode. This may or may not work, though.
W10 has no officially supported drivers yet. 😉 . Bleeding edge causes severe bleeding.
Yosemite may use a CoreStorage volume rather than a simple JHFS+ volume/filesystem. There are no Windows drivers to allow readability of such volumes. One option to use is a diskutil cs revert command on the OS X side, if permitted, and the gain visibility of the OS X volume from Windows.
